Feb 27 2010
“Union Budget 2010 is reform oriented”

The Budget 2010-11 is reform oriented, forward looking and focused on inclusive growth in all important sectors of the economy such as agriculture and rural development, power infrastructure, education, housing, health and social sectors. The Budget can be said to be for Aam Aadmi (Common Man), agriculturist and industrialist and likely to encourage the personal savings and consumption level.

Interest subvention of 2% on pre shipment credit has been extended till 31st March 2011. This is expected to benefit the all exporters, including textile exporters in terms of the lower interest cost. One time grant of Rs. 200 crore to Tirupur textile cluster in Tamil Nadu would benefit the growth of small and medium sized knit and other textile players in that region in line with the Government objective of inclusive growth.
